Alumnae Association Reborn!
When our beloved school closed in 2020, Sister Carolyn Krohn ‘65, the last Head of School and Georgia Wasley ‘09, the last Alumnae Director, managed to hang on to the information needed to continue alumnae functions.
In summer 2023, Sr. Carolyn invited all the class representatives for whom she had contact information to gather to begin the process of forming an alumnae association that could stand on its own. Twenty-two alumnae came to the first meetings and began to set the course. In the past few months, we have incorporated as a non-profit with the State of California and taken necessary steps to become fully functional, both legally and practically. Because she was assigned to supporting alumnae by the Mercy SF Board of Directors, Sister Carolyn acted as incorporating officer for filings and appointed the initial Board of Directors, volunteers from that group of 22 class reps. According to our bylaws, they served until the first formal election in October 2024.
Committees, events, and activities are being planned - please reach out if you’d like to get involved!
